Thursday:

Wine tasting at Calera Vineyard near Holister (picked up two bottles of Ryan Pinot Noir).
Dinner cooked by Erci and her dad and we met Vanessa and Mike. Wow, two more excellent Linne Colado wines (Rising Tides and Problem Child).

Friday:

Erci‘s Dad took us up to Berkeley for wine shopping at Kermit Lynch (wine importer) and lunch at Acme Bread’s Fanny Cafe. Then we visited Earthly Basics (finely crafted furniture store), Spanish Table (Spanish kitchen supplies, wine, ingredients), Good Vibrations (sex-positive adult store), Fisher’s Jewelry (technically just over the line into Albany) and By Hand (nice men’s clothing).

We then went to Cascal in Mountain View for lovely dinner of Tapas and Pima Spanish wine, then a walk along Castro Avenue where we got to meet “Rex” the Tegu on the sidewalk outside the pet store for which he is a mascot.

Saturday:

Meet Erci’s Uncle Dick and Aunt Judy in San Francisco to see the Museum of Asian Art’s exhibit on the Ming Dynasty. Hit the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park for flower photos and butterflies. Really fancy dinner at Coi.

Sunday:

Flights back to Virginia and home to feed the kitties and clean.
I’ll add some photos once I get them scanned in.

Monday:

So when I got back to work, I found my co-workers had allowed Scampi the office ferret to party in my absence: Scampi and empty bottles
