Yeah, for about five minutes, and that spent pursuing a socialist agenda in court (much as he's pursuing one before the voters, which is a change for the better, as it's at least the right forum). As for Ledbetter, you can certainly spin it that way if you want. Or you can recognize that it was a decision of judicial restraint construing a badly-written law with a result which can easily be remedied by Congress, should it so choose.
