Free Hugs Campaign
A friend posted this video on her live journal, and it is a really cool idea. I dug a little deeper and discovered that there is a world peace movement based on one to one connections between people; kind of like Soka Gakkai Buddhism.
If nothing else it will make you smile to watch the video.
Go out and hug someone!

You sound like someone who would LOVE the FSTV and LINK tv channels provided on Dish network….I saw this video (and lots of others in the same vein) on one of these two channels along with great documentaries, news broadcasts from democracynow.org and mosaic…..It will allow many to see the true potential of TV…
Hope you are starting a Hugs campaign in your area…

I have DISH (though I am getting annoyed by recent price hikes and no packages without sports channels) and have been addicted to FSTV and LINK for a long time, though I am beginning to kick the addiction.
Democracy Player (available for Linux/Windows/Mac) is even better and it lets me grab DemocracyNow, Terra, MediaMatters and other awesome content off the internet for free; though I like a few programs on FSTV still.
Bruce beat me to the Hugs campaign. He did it because he was running for office last year, but he also happens to be a person big into hugs (as I am too). Not really a true \”Free Hugs\” campaign, but largely the same effect.
I need to get out of my car more to really participate in hugging a lot. We better public transit so I can skip the car entirely.
BTW; I love your postings on several blogs mosquito, you have a knack for buzzing in at the right moment with wry humor and straight to the point commentary. Thank you!
Hugs!
